City of Bonnieville, Kentucky

Welcome to Bonnieville KY

Bonnieville is a rural city in Hart County Kentucky rich in history and community spirit. We are the first Hart County exit, located in South Central Kentucky, exit 71 from Southbound I-65. Bonnieville was established as Bacon Creek Station in 1849. Bacon Creek Station changed its name to Bonnieville, Ky on March 18, 1880, originally was incorporated May 5, 1880. On December 12th, 1955 the City of Bonnieville was officially incorporated as a sixth class city. We continue to hold precious our heritage and our history. We have a small area that is designated as official Bonnieville city limits, but the Bonnieville community stretches across a much larger area. Inside the city limits which is a .6 mile area, according to 2010 census data there are 363 people living in the city, with an average household size of 2.52 people. 25.69 % of the population is married.  Part of the original main line of the historic Louisville and Nashville Railroad {currently CSX} run through the city and 31w runs right through the main part of town. Our 162 year old community is continuing to grow with several current expansion and land preservation projects underway. We treasure the past while embracing the future. more information on Bonnieville can be found on our LOCAL HISTORY PAGE.

The City of Bonnieville has a Mayor and six Council members. Council meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 6 pm central time at City Hall. If the scheduled Monday falls on a holiday, council meetings are automatically rescheduled for the next Monday.
